My goodness. What do they do cooped up for years? Firstly, no muscle problems? I imagine that Yoshiko's kitchen (from the first article) is no bigger than a jail cell and even prisoners need their exercise. And secondly, it seems quite understandable and almost natural that hikikomori could breed dangerous behaviour. Whatever that instigated the social withdrawal just breeds in the person's mind interminably till they go over the line!

"ijime" or bullying's usually the cause of it. I wonder what on earth the school is doing to curb these behaviours? Probably nothing... Japanese schools are notorious for doing nothing in these situations. but still, the Hikikomori bunch is scary...

I think they play games.. heh heh.. or else.. I dunno what they can do.. maybe solitaire..

I dunno if they want to, more power to the students? Can't touch them? Who knows.. School just wants to keep its flag flying i suppose.. face? oh well.. -_-
